AMD is one of 2 stocks I'm still substantially long on, and I'm not as long on either one of them as I was 3 months ago.

And you don't have to sell everything to go net negative the market.

And I'm not adverse to shorts -- but I've never turned the corner to being net short before, and I may not now. But I am damn close!

But this market is, IMO, worse than the 70s oil problem, or the late 80s banking problem.

In the late 60s everybody said the economy wasn't that bad 'till the Penn Central went under. That was government mismanagement, IMO.

We've got 2 Utilities in California ready to go now. We've got Japan dead. We've got an overvalued $.

We've got energy inflation. Works like a tax on the economy.

And we've got an excess of almost any finished manufactured good, as compared with a year ago, that you can name.

And we've got a FED that *JUST DOESN'T GET IT*'

I think I give up.

Kap Re: <I had to sell ..> Do what you have to do, do it before you have to, and good luck and judgement be with you.

You've been one of a small number of reasons for me to stay around the SI neighborhood.

With AK and a very few others who have come and gone through time.
