The USA press have prevented USA tourists from visiting the UK....

Hey, I've been to the Tower of London.

It's not the food, it's the cooking. Let's face it, Italians and the French have much better food and they don't serve you a fried egg with everything you order.

Although, come to think of it one of the best meals I ever had in my life was in a small restaurant in the London theatre district. It was also the most expensive meal I've ever eaten in my life and I did expense account dining for years.

...Mind you I know that butterfly effect thing. I just watched the UK news and they are accusing the USA of causing a tourist problem. There are tourists (seemingly) from everywhere except the USA. The USA press have prevented USA tourists from visiting the UK....

Being a bit of a USA repub myself I recommend sending the the US Navy over to blockade all UK ports and stop any communication with the UK at all. Until the Foot and Mouth problem is over with. You guys do not need such chit right now.

And btw, if you do send over the US Navy please feel free to sink the Spanish fishing trawling fleet for target practice, announce the UK is now the 52nd state of the USA, and 17.5 % VAT is done with. Oh yeah, please machine gun down all the Euro MP's and all those extra politicians we picked up since Scotland became "free"

How about if the US Navy just sends over its older, coal-burning carriers to patrol the channel and drop soot on all of France's pristine nuclear plants and the Brussels Eurocracy? Crew liberty passes and all the US press war correspondents should solve the tourist shortage problem. Unfortunately, simply blockading the ports will probably not interdict the communication channel provided by the carrier butterflies that you mention. We'll probably have to use GM corn as bait to confuse their navigation sense. You're right about the foot and mouth disease, please keep all your politicians home and intern any of ours that show up for the duration. -g-
