KLP, As you can see, unemployment peaked under Reagan and Bush, then dropped rapidly under Clinton. The two peaks were 3 years into the Reagan administration, and 4 years into the Bush administration. Note that unemployment dropped from 8.0% the month that Clinton took office, to 5.1% on the date of the 1994 election. Check out the year 2000. Anyone who says the economy was failing in 2000 is ether brainwashed or pushing a political agenda. Unemployment during the three months up to and including the election, was the lowest in modern history in any industrialized country. Bush is a flagrant liar.
