Dear E. In the context of the current concentration of CO2 and the fact that theories suggest that the earth's normal state is an ice age. The fact that CO2 maintains the thermal mass of the earth above the energy exchange rate that plunges the earth back to an ice age says that CO2 now is good and the little bit more being added is better.

Now E you could say, but let us look at venus and make some comparison. So how stupid would this comparison be.

Well what are the percentages of of gas of Earth and Venus
EARTH 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% trace gases
VENUS 96% carbon dioxide, 3% nitrogen and 1% trace

now CO2 earth is .4% and CO2 VENUS is 96% well .4 sometime in the decades future.

So the concentration ratio is 96/.4 or 240

So the concentration of CO2 on VENUS is 240 times that on EARTH. But Oh I screwed up. the green house effect is not about concentration but about the density of the CO2 or the number of molicules per unit of volume. Stupid me I did not take into account the fact that the atmosphere on Venus is 500 times that of earth.

So it not 240 times as much it'd 240 times 500 times as much. Well not quite as you know PV=nRT. You must take into account temperature relative to absolute zero which is a factor of 2 or 3.

E. do you understand the difference between 20% of and orders of magnitude.
