Paul,

Should SI shut down, I will likely move to Raging Bull temporarily.

I will be posting on the Options thread until we can get an Amateur Trader thread set up there or elsewhere.

So in the worst case, go there to start.

Alternatively, anyone can e-mail me at djs327@yahoo.com and I will provide temporary communication
among the group until a new home is established.

Regards,

Dave

PS To any and all. If you have key information save in a folder from PM's or public posts, it may not be a bad idea to save a copy on your own computer.

Paul, everyone is welcome at 50gains.com anytime. The site is free and has basic live chat and message board systems. I would love to see it used more by sharp traders like the people here and a few other threads I hang out on.

And guru bluster is strictly verboten there - unlike most other sites.

A few of us are around during market hours most days.

End of commercial.

Paul,

I have been a lurker on this thread and have enjoyed reading the sensible posts and trading ideas.
FYI, some SI members have already set up shop at Investors Hub. Vendit and Jenna are already there as well as some other popular SI posters. The owner is an old SI member and is open to suggestions for improvement.

I would look to hang out at wallstreetstand.com Very similar to SI interface and no facist censorship of negative posters such as on IHUB, which is a total turd nugget and should be rolled in a ball and shoved down fattmatt's throat

Paul, I agree with you about the value of this forum. A short time ago I was about to go long PALM at just under $10 but floated the idea on this thread before hand and abandoned the thought after some good feedback from other members. PALM now at $6, good discussion saved me money.

Evening Paul, After some consideration, I think a Yahoo club is a good alternative.

I've created an unlisted club with the same name as this thread. An unlisted club is not included in the Yahoo Clubs Directory, it can not be viewed by the public. Only members can see and post messages. Yahoo club is something new to me, it does seem to have many nice features that fit out needs.

Everyone is welcome to join the club. Please PM me with an email address if anyone is interested, Yahoo will send an invitation with instructions for joining.

In preparation for the migration to Yahoo private club, I'd like to do a dry run and only post there the week of April 16.

My handle is si_refugee_001

I'm not sure how this new arrangement will work out, but it's worth a try.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Once you're a member, book mark this for quick access:

clubs.yahoo.com

Regards,

Tom

Paul, thanks for getting us prepared for the possible demise of SI. I hope it stays alive, if not, thanks SI for the fond memories.

Paul you were the person who pushed me to start this thread, and once again you're instrumental in my setting up the Yahoo club.

Since announcing the club last night, I've received more than 80 requests, 40 have signed up to become members.

Never before had I got over 100 PMs in a day. I couldn't reply to each and everyone, sorry guys/gals. Thank you all for your kind words. I did, however, reply to the ones that didn't include an email address which is needed for Yahoo to send the invitation.

Next week, I'd like to post only at the club for a few days just to make sure there're no glitches, also for everyone to get used to the new features and interface.

Regards,

Tom
