I can confirm that. The guy down the hall from me specializes in bankruptcy, and they are swamped. Everyone wants to file before the new law. Actually, before the 180 day period before the new law starts, as I understand it.

I don't handle many bankruptcies. I have the wrong temperament for it. I try to convince them to pay off their bills unless it's impossible, and if they are judgment proof I tell them why bother? Or else I tell them to buy the forms and do it themselves. Save the money, they need it. You only need a lawyer if you have certain tricky issues, like a house, otherwise it's a piece of cake. Now, anyway.
