My perspective is that your music never left, Al. Just hibernating. In time to be much more buoyant than those balloons.

Whether AXC has any soul left is much more indefinite ...but I think it probably does.

Jeez! Talk about pain! Where are you going to park it?

Oh good heavens, whatta marvelous post, Al Cassaro!! Regally put!

Well hopefully you've come outta the thing, ok...Hal asked for some prayers and thoughts at the time of surgery. I guess they worked because your post is the best I do believe I've ever read period. I think I just peed my pants.

Speaking of Elvis and his drug usage. Elvis had a DC-8 and the son of one of my former employer's...in the days when I was flying (Int'l Air Services Company of Burlingame/IASCO)...would fly w/Elvis. I dont recall if Elvis had leased the airplane from IASCO, if IASCO brokered the lease or actually sold him the DC-8...but my boss once told me his son had seen the empty syringes in the cockpit...Everyone knew he was into the drugs pretty badly...It was shortly after that conversation w/my ceo that Elvis bought the farm. Perhaps IASCO then sold the airplane, it's been so many years my chronology is dim.

and the ever irrepressible Oscar Levant...w/the curl of the cigarette smoke matching his crescendos...I grew up in a house of music...my stepdad was a concert tenor and my mother accompanied him w/her classical piano. The trumpet, french horn, voice and dibbledabble piano were all a part of my youth....and now all that remains is an aria in the shower when noone is home but me....

I'll bet if someone gave me a regal, I'd hit high "C"!!
