I agree......PG&E's parent company took the cream off the crop and left the irrigation bill to the taxpayers. This is one aspect of this mess that the bankruptcy court may help settle. PG&E probably would have had plenty of funds to pay their bills had they not moved the funds off their balance sheets. However, I do think that Ca has been charged exc eedingly high prices for the wholesale energy. I am not against anyone making a profit, but the gouging galls me.The FERC does have a role to play in this mess and I would think it is to maintain the stability of energy distribution at a price that is reasonable and fair to all parties.

Paying a little more than the rest of the country wouldn't bother me either. But, sometimes I think that these energy suppliers are galled to death about all the Californians living in their 500,000 dollar homes and they want to get their share of the action. There's alot of sharks with their eyes on this state and I don't mean the ocean or the San Jose type!!

Perhaps Davis had few valid choices to pick from when trying to solve this matter; but, he also disappointed me when he failed to get the MTBE out of the gasoline sooner than the date he specified. I expected him to act more quickly. It indicates that he has a rope around his neck put on by special interest groups.
