Joel: Honesty is not a motive. He's shrewd: As the big guns sound sirens of alarm the little companies cringe and crumble. Then the big guns swoop down and pick them apart. They will hire away their best people, buy their intellectual property and leave the shell for creditors to pick over. The business world is not so much about honesty but if cold hard facts work to one's favor they will be summoned as ammunition for survival of the fittest. It is times like these that the major corporations with hefty cash reserves savor. Opportunities shall abound among the wrecked and ravaged.
