Good practice. If the download is something other than a program, I put it on the desktop. That way I can't forget it.

The problem wasn't none vs disable, because as soon as i got there, i saw that none = disabled; it was knowing how to get there. A right click on the 3aline icon didn't do it, i had to go via start, settings, etc.

Maybe the screensaver was the problem, but it's odd, because i've had that screensaver for a couple of years but the defragging problem just started recently.

I did learn a lot, too. I'm really glad it worked out this way.
