Why don't fish freeze

Only the top of the lake freezes if the water is deep. In shallower ponds that freeze solid fish can't survive. A jackpine is a type of pine common in our area and they call us woods wanderer's savages:) I used to have a shack but you aren't mobile. I tend to move a lot so a shack and I don't get along.

They do when you toss them on the ice when it's zero. Hard as a rock. If you put them in cold water at home they thaw and swim in the sink.
