<<When you were young and full of eXtra energy and able to carry
that heavy box of coins(metal) and place that steel bar as a door lock,
it was done for The Love of <that long punny word>, not business.>>

When I was young (1964, 8 years old) I went to the bank EVERY Friday to get rolls of coins to pull out the silver. I put ALL of my allowance and other earnings into 90% junk silver bullion for over seven years. My "love of metal" temporarily and quickly faded when I sold it all for over 4X face value to pay for college. The business concept of selling one asset (silver coins) to invest in another asset (my education) was forever instilled in my mind.

Sure I love the shiny stuff, but I do not get hypnotized by it, and sell it when appropriate. I also remember that gold and silver are still metals, another fact I picked up working in my father's foundry pouring brass, bronze, and aluminum. Talking about this stuff is fun, but real fun is making your own molds and pouring a nice 2000 degree pot of molten bronze into it and seeing the results.
