They just released Bush's $1.95 trillion budget....of course, it cuts a lot of programs. What's amazing to me is that it cuts community based policing which has been credited for reducing crime in many cities. The amazing part is that I understood that the program had been particularly successful in Houston....that's in TX...where he was governor! In fact, the Houston Police Chief was a major promoter of the program. Do you know if I am correct in my understanding? Secondly, he cut the program promoting energy conservation which is the very thing that is needed in CA. Where is the logic? Of course, its the Dems view that he is making these cuts to make sure he has enough $$$ for the tax cut. ted
