RE Teledesic...
Long term yes. A solid play. The problem right now is - regardless of technologies, investors are looking for revenue signals and deployments.
The Teledisc pith appears solid technically, and it, or similar technology will inevitably be part of our communications fabric. Again - the challenge from an investment perspective is the market sentiment, and real rate of return for some of the massive investments. Check out the numbers behind real deployments, etc. It is a market sentiment issue, not a technology one right now. Where are the sales? Where are they expected to be, and what fundamentals of this stock make it attractive --a) p/e, b) market viability c) peg/pge

Agreed that is why I like WCOM, internet backbone coast to coast plus will be a major in web hosting ASAP. John Q Public and big money looking for value companies trading at reasonable PE's and Book Values, WCOM trading below BV and projected to grow at about 15% with present PE around 12. Talk for awhile about being a takeover candidate plus large increase in short position d/t arb action in ICIX merger relates to a good risk to reward ratio.
