Dave, get a pair of the red cyan anaglyph glasses. The beauty is that any size image in an anaglyph format is easily viewed as stereo. Also you can print the anaglyph and you have the same stereo effect. Taylor's igloo was the first anaglyph I made and I wowed myself. But the bridge on the same page jumps out of the screen. Also using povray I've created or rendered text images that can be in or out of the screen. watman.com render out watman.com render in From a distance (5, 6 ft )the rendered out text appears to project out of the screen by 9 to 12 inches.
