Ponderosa:

I would have to say that Nuclear Power plants are the least of all possible choices for Californians to build. The word radiation seems to scare the bejeebers out of everyone around here so that's really out. Yet Nuclear Power is being used successfully by of all folks the very careful French.

Alternative energy and natural gas fired plants are going to happen. I'm using propane that has already doubled.

President Clinton killed any possibility of a spent nuclear rod reservoir when he appeared in Nevada on a campaign trip a year or two ago and declared to a few protestors that the remote Yucca Mountain site (already chosen by the commission) would not happen under his watch. No disposal site = no Nuke power plants.
