China issues regular threats to invade Taiwan How about we SHOULD take them seriously. This is the only way of dissuading them from idle threats. And also one of these times they just might mean it; better safe than sorry. You are also saying they lie and cannot be trusted about important matters. Why deal with them then? Even the Soviets were better than that. not to impose force outside the country. Those nukes are for internal use? they can wait for reunification. Wait? What would make them think they could ever accomplish it without force? It's hard to believe the Taiwanese would not resist- -most likely with US aid and backing and possibly with US intervention. The current US government would have to be history; more likely, the current Chinese government will fall first. The Chinese could have taken Hong Kong and Macao by force at any time in the last 50 years. Macao, maybe. Hong Kong? That would risk war with Britain and maybe the US.

What brain salad! What you are saying is China is just talking, don't believe the rhetoric and read secret meaning into what they say, and hire scribes like yourself to interpret it. Just because they have not over run Taiwan does not mean they can't or won't move on their Nationalistic tendencies at some point. Pretty soon some young Chinese and good party-member gets into power who fanatically believes his leaders own rhetoric (maybe the old ones really are just talking) and then your cookie crumbles. Ever hear of Stalin? The greatest cohesion of thought and singleness of purpose is always found in a lunatic asylum. Any country that can be destabilized by a movement called Falun Gong i.e. truth compassion tolerance is not a friend of capitalism or freedom.
