Geoff,

There is no evidence that China has aggressive intent wrt to the rest of the world. Most people become temporarily aggressive when they believe they are defending their own country.

How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot. Say the chinese were intercepted by F-15s 70 miles off our coast and because of the aggressive tactics by our fighter pilots, a collision occurred. The damaged chinese plane landed at one of our military bases and was stripped to see what made it tick while we kept their aircrew.........

And you were expecting what....a welcoming party with peace leis?
