it's not enough to look at p/e's in isolation. price/book and the related Tobin's Q are also important factors (note that cyclical industries tend to have the highest p/e's at the BOTTOM of their cycle, and the lowest at the top). needless to say, not only p/e's, but also the other yardsticks mentioned above have gone to never before seen extremes in the mania. oh, and so far, Bronson's calls have been proven right by the market...
