The radio this morning said that PG&E paid out 50 million in bonus's to middle management the day before they declared bankruptcy!!! What a bunch of crooks. They wanted the Gov to bail them out of debt with taxpayers money. more socialized cost while they channeled all their profits from the sale of their powerplants to their parent company. The taxpayers here are still paying for a nuke plant that they built wrongly with a faulty design. It was their mistake and we ended up paying for it anyway even though it doesn't produce power. People are pretty mad down here and I am seeing Republicans angry as well as Democrats. Ca has been through a water crisis. About 5 years ago we went through a drought. There was a bunch of politics played again as the farmers in the valley were getting subsidized water for irrigation. We paid while the huge farms were getting water cheap. I missed all the protests back in the sixties, but I think I will finally get my chance to be an activist. Many people here are ready to stand up and be counted against all this bull. My sister-in-law lives in the Atlanta region and she told me that 25,000 people had their gas turned off from lack of payment in her region alone! It's spreading across the country.
