mindmeld, RE: Basically, it's hard to pull the trigger and sell a stock you've held for 4 years. Holding becomes a bad habit. This coming from a long term buy and holder must be shocking, eh? :)

I am about as shocked as Louie was to find gambling going on at Rick's.

An investor with a time horizon very different from the mass of investors enjoys a tremendous advantage. IMO, the area where the fewest investors play is in the 2 to 5 year time horizon. It is not a coincidence that this is the time horizon that my investments most often have. I'm not sure whether or not it is a coincidence that the place for maximum profits of your Cisco investment falls within this range, but it certainly is interesting.
