Apologies (ala Scumbria)

Just imagine you were accused at work of sexual harassment and the other party wanted an apology but you did not do anything more than bump into her in the hall and grabbed her to prevent a fall. Sure an apology might be the quick answer so everyone could get back to work, but what about the next time.....quite a different scenario would emerge and I'm sure you would "regret" the apology and see it's insincerity served no useful purpose to YOU!

Why would we apologize? Our unarmed plane was intercepted in international air space, was buzzed twice with the jet getting as close as 40 feet and on the third buzzing was collided with and damaged. Another fighter jet prevented our plane from flying home and forced it to land on Hainan island where it was looted and our people taken captive. All in all it looks more like an act of war by the Chicoms.

We need to send another EP-3E on the same route but this time have a dozen Tomcats low over the horizon to show them how the game is really played.

JL,

Once again it is not a matter of right or wrong. Despite Bush's idiotic posturing, China holds all the cards right now. Get the boys back and then negotiate.

Do you have any idea how much pressure Bush is getting from American business to shut up?
