Interesting reading Scott, thanks. That graph is hard to believe. Amazing.

I think I remember that you are not the biggest fan of Bob Brinker, but his dissertation this weekend on Greenspan was great to listen to. Basically saying that the guy has just completely lost it, and doesn't have a clue as to what is going on in the economy. He said that at this point in that last recession, 1990, the Federal funds rate sat at 3% as opposed to today's 5%....a radical 2% cut needs to be phased in as quickly as possible.

Several folks on the thread are saying they expect a bottoming out here, but I can see this thing going on for quite a time. And a 2% cut will just begin the process of getting the market out of the woods.

I'm long term bull, but I think earnings disappointment momentum will keep us in a bottoming mode for a few more quarters...
