Seems that NT's lack understanding of how DWDM can do GPRS, CDMA and TDMA; prevented them from major revision of their business. Instead they are heading into saturation of build out. Business is heading south.

ANTC while announcing the direction of heading into higher speed of cable modem in the headend; did not seem to include CDMA, TDMA and GPRS into their headend system.(present tuners for cable will be abandoned. The headend has to have analog transceiver to include intermediate frequencies of GPRS, CDMA, and TDMA then 2.4 mbs of MP3 codes for data transmission driving the laser diodes. The ultimate system design should be considered before deploying the higher speed features.

Need we say more? GPRS, CDMA, and TDMA schemes are well known. That implementation will increase bandwidth is also well known. Installing them in DWDM will enable more dedicated channels and more data transmission within the single optical fiber.
