I like Dan Niles a lot because he is a very good bean counter. Probably the best. He knows exactly how many widgets are in stock. What he is not so good about is predicting the future. It is more than amazingly bold of him to say the sector will go down a record 20+% this year when nobody can see the future even a month or two out. Let's not forget that it was Dan Niles that recommended INTC as a strong buy at $70/share one morning. In the afternoon, just hours later, INTC warned and tanked the stock by 35% in a day. Having proved he can not see past lunchtime, Niles now wants us to believe he can see to the end of the year.
