it all depends on whether you think that there is a true shortage of energy or if you think that the situation is manufactured for ulterior motives.

Most certainly I believe the CA energy situation was manufactured. That's why so many people are correct to throw stones at the "manufacturers". However, the Downward Spiral doesn't care how the situation arose. It's the ramifications to the U.S. economy that I ponder.
