"but this is simply the most bizarre, unreasoned post that I've ever seen"
The Ballmer Short
post 30031 Sept 24, 1999 - My chatroom posted the Ballmer statement moments after it was on the Newswire, I got in my short at 94 5/8. MSFT might be in the same phase IBM was about 10 years ago when it went from 175 to 40. Note: I was posting back & forth to "Ed" who was upset with Ballmer's remark, so you should find many post about it back then.
post 30134 - So to me, Ballmer is a OK guy. There are more post in that time frame. But the first Ballmer play when he said tech stocks were overvalued was possibly before you even began posting on this thread.
<Did you cover> Does a outhouse stink. Today was a perfect example of the am play, msft runs approx 20 min to over 57 then shakes to under 56. Sometimes I only hold 30 min or if things are looking good a few hours longer. Any one can make a point each day just playing msft after the first 20 minutes. I shorted over 57 and covered under 56. If it goes down the first 20 min go long for the bounce when your tick chart curls up, just the opposite of when it goes up after open. It might be 10 min or it might be 40 min for the buyin, we don't know the exact min until the event occurs. MSFT is a market performer right now and anyone just following the market swings can clean up with swing trades. That am play is a old standby used by many day traders, day, after day & so forth. I only play Ballmer shorts when he is speaking realtime on national TV so today was not a Ballmer short play. Frog
