From Smartmoney.com:

Wall Street is awaiting data later in the week, including Thursday's reports on March retail sales and producer prices, for guidance on the economic outlook. Prospects are fading for a quick economic rebound this summer, with last Friday's employment report offering the latest reason for pessimism.

Meanwhile, first-quarter earnings-reporting season picks up speed with results Tuesday from Motorola, Wednesday from Internet bellwether Yahoo! and Thursday from Dow component General Electric. Investors will look to results from these companies and others for hints about the performance of other firms.
