5dave22, I expect the inertis of the corporate market, the fear of the unknown by bew consumers, the FUD from sales people paid by Intel incentive programs.

There are more reasons.
However even dell should know that with no AMD people would still be selling Pentium1-500 for $1000.

AMD has opened the market and those major OEMs like CPQ and IBM who gave AMD some maarkets have benefitted greatly.
Of course Intel now gives lower prices to dell than they get as punishment.
