ROFL! "Poor"? Decimalization was initiated to make involvement in the equity markets more intuitive, and therefore easier to participate in, for retail market participants.

And if the regulators had nixed the plan, it would have been a conspiracy against the retail folks, right? :)

Mogul,

You can't be serious, this is the 21st century. Last time I checked I was paying for goods and services in dollars and cents, not pieces of eight. This is a logical transition...I would have preferred the nickel increment but oh well. There is no "intention" as you call it, and the switch to decimals wasn't designed to make YOU lose money. It's a new reality for ALL traders, and that's all.
