Apparently (heard today somewhere) that the Fed discount rate thing is a standard line item, and does not necesarily indicate anything...

(Hope I'm not wrong or my shorts like get blown out of water- if I bail after any announcement)..

BTW- I think they'd be foolish to risk the impotency that could follow....

Chris - this was one of the responses - check the link provided

(btw- the same thing happened the past two months - the meeting was
for the prime lending rate between banks. However, that doesn't rule out
a rate cut- just doesn't really rule one in)
