NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - Stocks are set for smashing gains at the open Tuesday, with investors looking to build on Monday's tech-centered gains.

June S&P 500 futures climbed 9.80 points, or 0.9 percent, and were trading roughly 14.70 points above fair value, according to HL Camp & Co. Nasdaq futures, meanwhile, piled on 42.00 points, or 2.8 percent.

Predictably, government issues backpedaled with equities set to steal the show.

The 10-year Treasury note slipped 6/32 to yield ($TNX) 4.96 percent while the 30-year government bond fell 1/2 to yield ($TYX) 5.525 percent.
