>>And I'm betting on the downside on Thursday with JNPR's earning. <<

That would almost certainly send this market down hard. I expect JNPR to beat estimates.

Eurobum, yes I watching YHOO with great anticipation. I have significant pressure on this stock this month. And yet the stock is hanging around 15 like it's strolling through the park. How they react to their earnings should be a good indication for tech as a whole.

Again today was an interesting day. In my post over the weekend I pointed out some stocks that I thought would be under pressure this week. SUNW and SAWS were just two of them. Both broke key support today, but yet stocks like CSCO and my bellweather AMZN were up. In the case of AMZN at $11 it is the convict going over the wall. It has committed itself in it's challenge of that resistance. Where does it go from here. If prices do not continue to build on today's action that downtrend will come back to slap it down. So far no true bottom has been placed. NOK and MSFT should also be interesting to watch as they peak their heads through to the other side...absolutely no wiggle room.

A lot of things to watch.

Euro, Stephen, SO- Today really wasn't that impressive, simply because we gapped up, and then.....intra-day...sold off most the day.....we did make a run 3 times at 1758....but we couldn't even enter the gap....

We've seen this "gap the open- do nothing during the day" several times in the last 2/3 months....it has almost always signalled weakness to come..

Also, the Naz ran up last 15 minutes...otherwise, it would have close up only +5 or +10....hardly a stellar day (after a gap open)...look like some short-covered, window-dressing, tape painting to me at the end...

I am trying to stay balanced, though, simply because we are due at some point for a solid upweek (don't know when), even if the fundamentals aren't ready...

Still, as you have noted, there is time for an explosion upward as well as down....gotta happen soon...the lines on the charts are enveloping most stocks/indices like an anaconda on the day's last meal...
