NTSB has no jurisdiction in China, of course.
The point was that a simple examination (discussion)
of physical evidence would put to rest some of the spin coming out of Washington.

China and the US are playing this drama out on the world
stage for "points" like kids in a schoolyard. The autopilot ruse is supposed to parry the eyewitness account of the second Chinese pilot. By the way, the ER-3 is a turboprop, with an autopilot a lot more ragged than a typical commercial jet. So maybe it was on autopilot and they hit turbulence at 210. Wait for that excuse to come out soon. Here we have a game of chicken where you lose if you win.
