no not at all. I just think the way the govt defines "savings" is antiquated and irrelevant in light of the way people in the US really build up wealth. That inlcudes small businesses, investment real esstate, etc.

I think just looking at money in bank accts is no longer valid but I don't necessarily think that all these other things I've listed would be valid as "savings"

It's just a matter of lookign more closely at the assumptions that underlie some dire prognoses for our economy.
