AD, what do you mean by saying 1/2 position or full position in shorts. As example, I am 90% in stock, owner only no short no margin. 10% cash at only 1/4 mil$ it's not much, but it is all mine.
When I short, I sell stock I own, "sold 1200 shares" at $50-53 bought back $49, 47, 43, 39. I moving into cash as a short and buy on margin when long. Last year I lost 52% or so, with this year up about 20%. I do not think I will actual short just go to cash.
What is meant my 1\2 position or full ?

Thank

Stan
