Remember our 'ol buddy Tom Kurlak? Says he likes PCs and wireless for 2002. Says he's buying 'em now. INTC, ERICY as plays on the upcoming post-Y2K replacement cycle.
Awl-so, there's a Smart Money story that I won't post here because it's so verbose, but basically it's on the merits of investing in the middle of a recession.
One last tidbit: Abelson in Barron's had a chart of 22 Dow stocks that are, I think, more than 25 percent off their highs set in the last two years. So the bear did indeed pay more than a token visit to that index, just not all of them at the same time, as happened in the Naz.

In a market that can look past the problems we have now, you not going to be able to beat, SEBL, QCOM, JNPR, CIEN, BEAS. You are also going to get whipsawed to death in those, with the beta's they have.
