Ish, That is very noble of you, but confirms my point that the war was driven by conservatives. At least you didn't run off to be AWOL in the National Guard, like our conservative President did. Scumbria

lsh, I'm an extreme liberal and I volunteered for the draft in '71 because I thought it wasn't fair that I had a college deferment and a high number in the draft lottery. The stupid execution of the war does not diminish the bravery and integrity and nobility of those who went to Vietnam to stop an evil empires attempts to enslave a country. What I learned from that tragic war is that one must exercise extreme caution in committing to conflict. tom watson tosiwmee
