Jacob, I know I have heard talk of an inventory correction; but sales and profits have started their decline and so, there is no way to tell how long this will go on; in fact if decreased profits go into next year as even the lagging indicators of home sales and auto sales fall there will be no real borrowing, even with cheap money, as corporations and the consumer scale back and conserve ; there is nothing to cause a change in trend-- we could have volatile deadlock from now then till then; or worse, continued price decline; This is juxtaposed against some quality stocks that are starting to become cheap; sentiment indicators which are very bullish; some wild very powerful up days where plus volume is 9to 1 and shorts are getting cooked and they remain cocky ; so where is the bottom ; soon, with a volatile go no where market -- or in 6-12 mos when despair rules( I have not seen this yet) and any money used here evaporates and leaves really great bargains for the smart investors; this is something we are all trying to figure out ---its as murky down here, as it is near the top
