Microsoft makes beta-software in a way, that influences the network. Windows 2000 DID trash my network account on the domain, so I had to delete the user "lars" and create it again. I removed Windows 2000 beta first, of course.

The fact, that some equipment may bring down a network if Windows XP is installed on it, shows that you should never use beta-versions of Microsoft software on production networks. I have stopped using Microsoft beta software, but last time I did, I did it only on VMware.

Bluetooth works. Ericsson and other companies sell devices, and Microsoft should have announced something like "We will support bluetooth asap." Bluetooth probably works as well as USB when Microsoft implemented it first time. I'm pretty sure that Microsoft has changed focus since Windows 95 into having better quality and maybe not so many features. And that this is the primary reason for their announcement. This is not a bad move - I think it is very positive, that Microsoft improves software quality. And I don't say they should have included bluetooth from start, I would just wish they had publicized some code for those, who want to use bluetooth, and been more positive towards bluetooth.

One thing, that maybe makes all this less relevant is that at first, most bluetooth-enabled computers will probably run Windows 98 and Windows 2000... as far as I remember, one of my friends, who uses bluetooth on his laptop, uses Windows 98.
