Turns out the daughter was getting some of the same kind of treatment I got when I was younger from men on the street when she was alone. Problem was that she was taking it out on all the men that spoke to her.

It's part of this whole sick obsession with sex that has permeated our society and poisoned relations between men and women. In the era when my folks grew up (they were born in the 1930's), I think there existed a social protocol that smoothed relations between the sexes and which included mutual respect. Most of that got thrown out the window when society decided that we should all get laid as much as we want, preferably as often as possible, discarding our sexual partners along the way like a used condom.

A lot of people, especially young people, seem to have fallen for this whole gambit, and I think a lot of them get seriously confused and pissed when they find that for some reason this road hasn't led them to happiness and fulfillment. And I think a lot of women develop a deep-seated resentment towards men along the way. Women have increasingly operated in a decidedly mercenary manner towards men, but still carry the Cinderella complex around within. It's such an astounding contradiction and one is amazed to recognize that they are completely unaware of this themselves
