Was about to PM you ole timer.

Where ya been? Ireland? What are you up to? Big buyer of TLM? Sounds like you are favorable towards it.

As for me. Nothing earth shaking(g). Just typical Bear Market strategy and tactics along with the required caution and patience.

Other than that? Picking a ST trade here & there to keep my focus on the market. But nothing large enough to hurt me if I'm wrong. And, of course, avoiding the ever present wipsaws as best I can.

The key focus, so far this year, has been enjoying watching my high cash position get more and more valuable vs the NG E&Ps AND many other stocks sold back in Jan or even earlier (Sept/Oct last yr).

Recent buys include a moderately large CRZO position from last week @ 6 1/8. Also mod lg pos in REMC from last wk @ a lousy entry price of 8 1/2. And today, repur a fraction of the lg AEM pos @ 6.57 sold 10 days ago @ 6.99.

Tooks scalps in RTN.B and PDE yesterday. And otherwise sitting on a few LT holds like TLM partner LOILY that are close to my cost basis.

Right now bout 68% cash. All in all, just biz as usual.

Best regards,

Isopatch

<<Looks pretty expensive .... >>

It is a great deal for TALISMAN . It is accretive to both earnings and cash flow. Buckee expects the acquisition to payout in less than two years. They are evaluating additional acquisitions.

Hey, TC, I presume you are the same guy who passed out that good info last month on the Canadian royalty trusts..... Just for supplemental info, (this may be old news, and if so, I apologize...errrrr, I mean "regret")....anyway, Enerplus is listed on the NYSE (ERF), and has returned approximately 27% (dividends and cap gains) in the two months following.....some are pointing out that this is an annualized rate above 160%, and was even better than CSCO's return for the same two months <g>..... FWIW...
tso
PS... My mother was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, and probably the majority of my relatives are spread out from the to coast.... does "half-Canuk" count for anything? <G>
Thanks again for the good info
