It occurs to me that tech companies are especially vulnerable to hubris (and therefore, self-destruction), thinking that they can always grow their way out of whatever technology box their core competency may place themselves in.....by wasting their money either (1) finding the next BIG thing......or (2) trying to conquer the next big opportunity (that they may be ill-suited for) within their sector.....or (3) by trying to expand market share/sales within their core competency, but wasting dollars for little additional sales...

Good ol' boring Warren Buffett-type companies....they know what they are (See's Candy, etc.)...they just do what they do (until they can't do it no more).......and cash out (for the investor) along the way..

Geez, and tech companies sell at a premium to their growth rates?

My epiphamy (sp?) is probably boring the thread to tears <G>
