Bobby, if Stack is right (Naz PE of 288) then even the 98' lows (just under 1400 on the Naz) would price this market richly. I just do not think he is right, because later this year, when the earnings will start and look a little better, the leverage in those companies (going from loss to profits) can get their cumulative earnings back to the 2000 levels and growing again. By the way, I am not sure where Stack got his numbers, I am keeping a "going tab" on TTM earnings of the 10 largest Naz companies, and I have right now $38 B (my last update was two weeks ago, then the market cap was under $920 B for PE of "only" 24. Statistics can paint whatever it wants...
