I think you would be amazed at what we could achieve, if we set minds and our nation to it... The Japanese and Germans underestimated our capabilities in WWII... to their demise. We the only nation that possesses a blue water navy of any consequence (necessary for transporting those commodities, while depriving our enemies of access to them)... And we possess the military, and economice, might to obtain whatever we need, where ever it lies (if we resolve that must have it).... Other nations, especially China, possess FAR LESS ability to support their commodity demand, and the ability to conduct war...
