I just had to stop by and rant after MOT today. That company is a complete PILE OS. I can remember buying in like 1995-96 and since then I bet they have missed their number about 40% of the time. I guess this time around I can understand (although they had lowered estimates twice already for the quarter). But for a company to disappoint as often as they do......WHY IS MANAGEMENT STILL EMPLOYED? Allow me to be guarded for a moment.........THIS COMPANY SUCKS GLAND!

I wish John Pietra would reply to this message of yours.

After reading your post last night.....I did some DD on this stock.

I am now curious about what Pietra's thoughts on if it would be a good play and how he would play it.

Are they due to report on the 24th...(I think it was...will have to find the info again) and have a history of high dividends.....

Both VLCCF and NAT are super tanking companies and have long term leases with RD and BP respectively.

NAT I know was spun off of BP in the 1990's, it seems for both tax advantages and to have the ships fly
under a more liberal maritime flag.

I think they have to pay out 85% of their earnings in dividends, that's why the dividend yields are so high.

I think both of them are pretty good holdings to have, esp. in an IRA or 401K where you don't get hit with
the big tax payment on dividend income if one is in the upper tax brackets.

I would not chase VLCCF up a long way to buy it. I've spent more time looking into NAT, than VLCCF, but
the sector they are in looks good.
