However, the survey conducted by ICIS-LOR showed that the moving average prices of DRAMs for large users and spot prices are continuing to fall. The moving average prices of 128Mb DRAMs (PC133, 16Mb x 8) for large users during the 30-day period from Feb. 22-March 23, were US$5.06 in North America, US$4.25 in Europe, and US$4.85 in Asia. Compared with DRAM prices for the 30-day period ending March 16, the prices declined 2.84 percent in North America, dropped 8.23 percent in Europe, and dipped 4.41 percent in Asia. As for memory modules, the spot prices of 128MB DIMM (PC133) dropped 2.79 percent to US$30.56 in North America, fell 1.75 percent to US$32.85 in Europe, and declined 1.09 percent to US$31.88 in Asia. Although uncertainties are still hanging over upcoming PC shipments, as inventories of Micron Technology Inc. of the United States and two Korean companies began to be reduced, demand for some products moved upward. ICIS-LOR has bases in London, Houston and Singapore.
