The world's greatest rock-'n'-roll band has nothing on Wall Street when it comes to belting out the blues. Assorted gurus, pundits, strategists, analysts and clowns all virtually agree: Pay no attention to the market's nascent gains; don't make a move until you see signs that economic news and earnings momentum have improved; and, for goodness sake, avoid technology stocks and pay up for predictability and quality. Uh-huh. Nary a soul could see anything of importance in Monday's sluggish action, but once again I strongly dissent from the consensus.

Ken, Stupid and rich go together like a dog and bit--. <g>

I have a lot of guns because I can't fire any one of them straight.

Well-heeled isn't rich. Just means I have nice shoes. Bruno Magli's, like my buddy O.J. <g>
