Crystal, Handspring was spreading the rumour couple weeks ago about the possibilities of switching to another OS. It turned out it was just a ploy to try to extract the best licensing deal from Palm for the Palm OS. Of course we all know that it's absolutely pointless for Handspring to do any switch since by default of being the Palm OS inventor they are grabbing 30% of market shares starting from 0% in just two years or so - without even doing any promotion. No other OSes can give Handspring that kind of advantage.

Palm cuts prices to deal with product glut

Faced with a glut of its handhelds, Palm is chopping the
price of several of its older models. Palm is cutting the
price of its Palm Vx from $349 to $299, after having
already trimmed the price last month with the announcement
of two upcoming models, the m500 and m505.
