I'd never accept a recommendation from any analyst I didn't think really understood the company and had a good track record within that industry - so I just consider what people like Meehan say about individual companies as interesting factoids. Obviously whoever he relied on didn't really understand the industry, or the industry changed. A lot of assumptions about the future have been revised drastically over a very short period of time, you know.
